New brand financing AVIA Financing offers its customers the opportunity to choose from vast range of products offer, starting with financial leasing, via operating leasing and ending with credit financing. Washington DC/Prague – Electric trucks of the American company Smith Electric Vehicles with cabs and chassis of the Czech brand AVIA, representing the breakthrough in the world green transportation, were introduced to America.

The “come- back” of AVIA to the Hungarian market resulted in total sales of 51 vehicles and in Spain 19 vehicles were sold. AVIA also entered a new market last year, selling 30 vehicles to Ukraine. AVIA Ashok Leyland Motors Company is planning to double its sales in the year 2008.

The AVIA Ashok Leyland factory based in Letňany, in Prague 9 produces mid weight vehicles with an extended production program which now includes the following models: D100, D110 and D120, covering the weight range from 10 to 12 tones  - an expansion from its original and “ traditional” range from 6 to 9 tones.  AVIA vehicles are built of high quality components from the renowned world producers. Engines are supplied by Cummins –  there are two EURO 4 variants available  -  the  ISBe4+ 160 and ISBe4+ 185, with engine power 117kW (160 hp) and 136 kW (185hp ) and maximum torque 600 Nm and 700 Nm respectively. This diesel engine family has a four stroke four cylinder design with a Common rail direct injection system, turbocharged and intercooled.  Gearboxes and steering gear are sourced from the well known German ZF company, whilst axles are built by Albion Automotive in Scotland.
